After the success of their first album Children of Chaos, Distributed by Adrenaline/WMG, (Warner Music Group), the album was well received by critics and was even featured on the Saw IV Directors Cut DVD, (Lionsgate Films), and the SAW IV Motion Picture Soundtrack. Soulidium was featured alongside bands like Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Drowning Pool, & Avenged Sevenfold.

Soulidium’s sophomore album, Awaken, was unleashed on October 30, 2015. This album packs a punch with the electrifying metal duet “Fly to the Sun“, where Michael McKnight’s vocals  alongside those of legendary Sevendust Vocalist & Grammy Nominee, Lajon Witherspoon is a truly amazing execution of metal and melody.

The track was recorded with Shawn Grove at the renowned Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta, GA, although the bulk of the music was recorded in Tampa adding a diverse flavor to the album’s production.

Awaken would be mixed & mastered by Recording Engineer Ryan Denman with the original album art designed by legendary artist David Bollt. 

The balance of the album was recorded at RedRoom Recorders in Tampa, Florida, with Wes Dearth, (Porcupine Tree), with all vocal production being recorded at McKnight’s  DEE-I Studios in Central Florida.

Following the release of their second album Awaken, Soulidium parted ways a few months after the exit of 2nd lineup Guitarist Spyder Z. Prime, (Psykill). In the years that ensued, Michael McKnight shifted his focus entirely from the music scene, channeling his creativity into the business realm. 

He successfully co-developed the award winning tattoo division of DEE-I alongside his wife, Carolyn McKnight, Head Tattoo Artist, (Tattoo/Inked Magazine, Best Ink), and their partner,  Artist/Model, Angelina McKnight.

After years apart,  Michael officially rejoined with Soulidium bandmates Danny Cayocca, Jerry Morte and Ilyn Nathaniel including several guest artists & collaborators that will also join into the for Soulidium’s upcoming releases & videos.

Soulidium’s gothic horror style and music evolves forward, redefining it’s musical landscape with an innovative twist in their newest single, “Scream.” 

Embracing McKnight’s passion for the darker tones of Miami/Tampa electronica, gothic, rock, and metal, the band is poised to produce what might be their most compelling work to date.

Soulidium’s forthcoming album “Revolution,” slated for release in 2025 by Dark Empire Entertainment, will feature an array of guest artists and collaborators, promising a rich tapestry of sounds and an electrifying experience for new and old Soulidium fans alike..
